2011 marks the 30th annual Donner Lake Triathlon.
Donner Lake is in northeast California on the eastern slope of the Sierra Nevada and about 11 miles northwest of Lake Tahoe.
The Donner Lake Triathlon offers both a Sprint and International Distance course providing opportunity for all to participate. Swim in the beautiful clear water, bike out and up historic route U.S. 40 featuring spectacular views of the entire lake, and then run around one of the most scenic alpine lakes anywhere.
Conveniently located off I-80, just minutes from charming and historic downtown Truckee, Donner Lake and West End Beach are one of the areas best kept secrets.
Sprint and Olympic Distances available. A KIDS Triathlon will be held the day before on the 16th. Road Biking Swimming Trail Running/Walking - part of the Big blue adventure series
