Gran Fondo World Tour Acquire Outdoor Race World Tour With International Expansion Plans

Outdoor Race World Tour, the adventure and long distance trail running event series, will start 2019 with a mission to find the best Male and Female Adventure Racers in the world.  This will be done using a unique ranking with ultra trails, adventure races, mountain bike marathons, orienteering races, swimrun and ski mountaineering races.

The ranking system provides points to both teams and individual. Adventure Racing team competitions provide same points to all team members and Ultra Trail or other individual events provide points to all individual participants.

During 2018, ORWT had promotional involvement in actions in events such as Corsica Raid Adventure, The Everest Trail Race, The Andorra Ultra Trail, Transmarocaine and Ultra Trail Tarragona.

New destinations in North America, China and Europe are also now completing their participation on the Outdoor Race World Tour

The expansion plans will include different disciplines such as Skimo races or MTB stage racing in the rankings in future seasons to search for the most complete adventure runners and racers with a 6,000 USD pool prizes for the top ranked athletes.

With this acquisition, Gran Fondo World Tour® expand their reach to amateur athletes in cycling , running and triathlon and present an alternative to existing trail run and adventure racing world circuits with a multidiscipline ranking, open to all participants and inclusive of different outdoor sports disciplines.

Gran Fondo World Tour® already manages a database of more than 40,000 cyclists participating in 11 events around the world. The the initial concept is to replicate this process to outdoor sports and use synergies to create new partnership contacts.

The new CEO of the brand will be Mr. Dani Buyo, former pro adventure racer and already the Gran Fondo World Tour ® CEO, who will lead this international expansion in outdoor sports.
