I'm originally from the Rep of Ireland where I spent most of my time working as an outdoor pursuit instructor teaching rock climbing, white water kayaking and a lot of orienteering.
I've competed in some long distance races mainly mountain marathons, such as the Welsh 1000, the three peaks yacth race (we came 5th) and a lot of orienteering events. I've also run for the Army (yours not ours), a truly maddening experience as we were often pitted against the Gurkahs who can run up vertical walls at pace. |
