| | My background is in slalom paddling, which I stopped a few years ago. I was phoned up three years ago to see if I wanted to do the Western Isles Challenge, which I said I did - not really knowing what it involved. It was absolutely brilliant and I've done the Hebridean Challenge the last two years as well with the same team who are really good fun and seem to know what they are doing.
