I only started Adventure Racing quite recently; I suppose I had all the relevant skills to some degree, so it was probably inevitable that I would end up enjoying the sport as I do now. There always seems so much to learn and think about, which keeps it interesting. Really, I just like being outdoors and having adventures, whatever, whenever and with whomever. So Adventure Racing ticks all those boxes and more.
I like races that go interesting places, which make you push yourself a little further and challenge the mind as well as the body. I get the biggest buzz when I complete a race and feel really tired and having not made any navigation mistakes. When I can say to myself, Òthat was my best effortÓ. It doesnÕt happen very often!!!
