| Started off as a kid cycling huge distances to orienteering events, winning them, then cycling home without a second thought. MTBs hadn't been invented then and adventure races probably only ran to "its a knock out".
Led Ten Tors expeditions in my youth, probably the earliest exposure to the advenutre race theme.
Spent the last ten years travelling and expedition leading, lost all my fitness and got old. Now back home, I do what I can when I can, worked hard at getting my fitness back, and exposure to a range of pursuits.
Wish I could orieenteer as well as I could when I was twelve, but love the thrill of getting out there and getting the adrenaline flowing.
Did rat race and G4 challenge selections in 2008, various cross country races since, but nothing too adventurey.
Looking forward to the C2C in Aug 09
