After deciding to compete in the 2002 TrailPlus Series I entered into tough and intensely gruelling negotiations with the wife to allow me to disappear several weekends a year. After several major purchases and promises of 'making it up to her' I finally got permission.
I am currently negotiating the terms of the 2003 season with her (and its looking expensive for me).
I'd like to say that it's due to my team-mate Daz 'Happy Shopper' Oates that the year has been so successful but it would be a lie, so I won't.
The year has been great and I've thoroughly enjoyed competing - I just look forward to being more competitive.
