The Donegal Atlantic Way Ultra Race is an ultra cycling event along 555km of rugged and beautiful Donegal Wild Atlantic Way coastline.
On Friday 23rd June 2017, cyclists from all over the globe will line up in Letterkenny, Co. Donegal to take on one of the ultimate endurance challenges on the island of Ireland.
The Donegal Atlantic Way Ultra Race route follows the Wild Atlantic Way coastline of Donegal, taking in some of the most scenic roadways to be found anywhere in the World. The route takes you past famous locations such as Malin head, Mamore Gap, Knockalla, Atlantic Drive, Horn Head, Carrickfin, Glengesh Pass, Sliabh League and Barnesmore Gap all within 40 hours.

Race Program 2017
- Thursday 22nd June: Sign on in Mount Errigal Hotel between 16:00-19:00, including safety check for racers and support crew. Race brief 19:00-20:00.
- Friday 23rd June: Race start at 10:00. Competitors set of at 2 minute intervals.
- Friday 23rd – Sunday 25th June: Race in Progress
- Sunday 25th June 02:00: Race Concludes
