CARPATHIAN MTB EPIC takes the adventure to a new level in 2018! On its second edition the 4-day event is part of UCI calendar, and invites both professional and amateur cyclists to conquer the Carpathians'; peaks.

Whether you choose to take on the 4-day EPIC, starting with the Prologue on the 16th of August, or immerse yourself in the authentic 1-day Challenge on the 19th of August, the organizer MPG Romania promises to excite you with limit breaking experiences set in the heart of one of the last genuinely wild regions in Europe, the Carpathian Mountains in Romania.

Focus and ride through 180 km of raw scenery that is beyond compare and 8,100 meters of climbing, over some of the most impressive mountains in Romania. All races have a SOLO format.

CARPATHIAN MTB EPIC is a full-service MTB stage race that gives you opportunity to concentrate on competing and to relax after the race. Everything is covered, from accommodations in the Olympic-level Race Village set at Cheile Gradistei - Fundata Resort to nutrition & meal plans, complete race services on site and on course and top it all with a high quality relaxation & entertainment programme.

The races options in brief:

1. 4-day EPIC - includes a Prologue and 3 daily stages. The Prologue starts on August 16, 2018, and is an XCO-type race. Each of the 3 stages is run on a distinct route.

• Stage 1 on Friday, August 17 - 60 km, with 2,700 m of climbing;
• Stage 2 on Saturday, August 18 - 60 km, with 2,900 m of climbing;
• Stage 3 on Sunday, August 19 - 60 km, with 2,500 m of climbing.

1. The 1-day Challenge race is all about discovering the pure nature of mountain biking, in a condensed package: 40 km of riding and 1,500 meters of climbing, on a distinct route.

All stages have the Start/Finish area in the Race Village, at Cheile Gradistei - Fundata Resort, located in Brasov County, just free hours away from Bucharest and the international airport. Check all about Experience here.
