We spent more than 18 months chasing our dream location in the UK, we wanted to find something unique. By chance we happened upon the Isles of Scilly. It is truly a unique place where it is difficult to not get emotionally affected.

The Isles of Scilly are off the south-west tip of England, in the Atlantic. They have been inhabited since the Stone Age and is a mythical place. All in all, 140 islands of which five are inhabited. At times, when low tide is low, you can walk between islands. Exceptional beauty and a pristine environment where the power of the Ocean is never far away! The trail- running is magical with some of the most beautiful runs we have ever done.

We work very closely with the Wildlife Trust to make sure the running sections have a minimum of impact on the nesting birds and wildlife. In June the flowers are in full bloom which is apparent when passing through the beautiful Tresco Gardens and the sea is usually calmer but still with huge tidal changes of more than 5 metres.

Sprint:

We want to make the sport of swimrun accessible to most. That is why we build a sprint during the same weekend as the World Series race. You get an introduction to the sport with a world class production.

Welcome to the ÖTILLÖ Swimrun family! The winners of each category will get a free entry to the ÖTILLÖ Isles of Scilly World Series event the following year.

The ÖTILLÖ Swimrun Sprint Isles of Scilly will start and finish in Hugh Town on St Mary’s. The course follows the coast around the island with some beautiful runs and some magical swims. You may even see seals in the water. The total distance is 15,6 km, with 8 swims. The longest swim is 1 000 metres and all swims are in bays. You will experience the beautiful nature of the Isles of Scilly and taste the real ocean.

Sometimes your partner is sick or injured or you can not find someone to participate with you. We are giving you the option to participate in either the Sprint or the Experience distance as an individual.
