The Rajd Beskidy Long Course is the ARWS World Series race. It is an expedition-style race with a mountainous character, with a route passing through Poland and Slovakia, primarily in areas where no previous races have been held.
To complete the entire route, participants must demonstrate both excellent physical and mental endurance, as well as teamwork skills. Navigation and technical skills, such as climbing and mountain biking, are also essential. Competitors must be prepared for extreme weather conditions and for covering long distances without the possibility of resupplying.
The route offers many shortcuts, allowing even weaker teams to experience an extreme adventure.
The race will consist of seven stages: three trekking, three biking, and one kayaking. Additionally, participants will face three climbing challenges: a 40-meter abseil, rock climbing on routes rated IV-VI UIAA, and a via ferrata. The route will also include special tasks of a navigational nature, and others.
Competitors will receive various maps, including basic ones as well as lidar maps, orienteering maps, and satellite images.
The total distance of the race is approximately 580 km, with an elevation gain of around 14,000 meters.
The highest point on the route is around 2,000 meters above sea level.
The time limit is 122 hours.
