Final chance to Enter Red Bull Illume Instagram Categories

The clock is ticking for adventure and action sports photographers and filmers looking for recognition in the genre’s most prestigious contest. Red Bull Illume is shortly to close submissions on its two Instagram categories – Photos of Instagram and Reels of Instagram. (The other categories on redbullillume.com remain open for submissions until the end of July). 

The two Instagram categories aim to celebrate both still and moving images showcasing the best adventure and action sports submitted on the social media platform.

What do you need to know? 

Anyone can enter, whether amateur or professional. All entrants have to do to take part is post their most gram-worthy photos and reels on their public profile and use both @redbullillume and the hashtag #rbi23submission. Reels can be up to 60s long. Content has to have been taken after August 1, 2021.

Vote for the finalists & category winner

The selection process for these two Instagram categories is different than for the other categories. Anyone can vote for the finalists on redbullillume.com mid of June in a public voting. In a second round of voting end of June, the public can also decide the category winner, so it pays to encourage friends and fans to vote.

A category for every genre 

Photos and Reels of Instagram may close May 31, but the other categories on redbullillume.com remain open for submissions until July 31, 2023. They cover the very best adventure and action sports moments from lifestyle photography, to artistic innovation and creative post-production as well as raw untouched images. There is also a category for emerging talent up to the age of 25.
