YACS European Championship Race Postponed Until Next Year

This years European Championships was due to take place in Denmark and be hosted by the Yeti Adventure Challenge Silkeborg in September, but they have sadly had to postpone until next year due the current difficulties of staging an international race.
Here is the statement issued today;
The 2020 European Adventure Racing Championship and the 2020 Yeti Adventure Challenge Silkeborg are postponed to Sep. 1st - 5th 2021.
Given the circumstances of the COVID-19 outbreak and recommendations of local authorities, we have decided to postpone the great adventure we had planned for 2020. With more than 500 participants from 15 countries, there are simply too many uncertainties at stake for us to guarantee the great experience and fair competition we all work for. We appreciate your understanding of the situation we are in.
You will automatically keep your place in the lineup. All you have to do is to train hard for the biggest adventure race ever held on Danish soil and to become European Champions of 2021.

A race under the given circumstances would be a heavy compromise that we would not feel comfortable with. We thank you sincerely for your understanding and look forward to seeing you in Silkeborg, Denmark next autumn for an unforgettable adventure. An extra year of preparation means an extraordinary race to enter.
