ÖTILLÖ Swimrun Takes Stock And Outline Their Calendar Plans For 2021
Press Release / 30.10.2020
Following the conclusion of ÖTILLÖ Swimrun Cannes 2020, the team at swimrun specialist ÖTILLÖ has outlined a year of interuptions, with plans being put in place for next year.
Cannes was the ÖTILLÖ fourth race weekend of the year: ‘one pre-Covid with ÖTILLÖ Catalina and three during Covid.’
In a release, the event organising team noted…
‘What we have learned is that it is possible; now it is up to the governments to pass laws that allow us to host races in a responsible way so that sport can continue for the benefit of mental and physical health.
‘Of course, this has to be done respecting local laws and regulations and with respect for everyone suffering the pandemic. Which we all are. But, we must push on and we must all keep inspiring others to get out in nature and lead an active lifestyle so that we can overcome together.’
For the rest of the season, as already communicated, ÖTILLÖ Swimrun Hvar has been cancelled. Due to the continued rise in Covid throughout Europe, the organisers have also seen no other option than to postpone this year’s ÖTILLÖ Swimrun Malta to April 17-18, 2021.
The organisers added… ‘All Malta entries will automatically be moved to the new date. If you cannot participate on the new date you can either sell your spot or get 50% discount code to another race.’
