After a fantastic start with ÖTILLÖ Swimrun Utö on June 19 & 20, it is now time for the beautiful ÖTILLÖ Swimrun Engadin in Switzerland.

The Engadin Valley, which is known for the town of St Moritz is where ÖTILLÖ Swimrun World Series launched the beginning of the international Swimrun movement in 2014. This stage for the next World Series weekend is so very different from the previous race location. Instead of islands we have lakes and instead of ocean we have mountains.

The Sunday World Series event is viewed as one of the more difficult ones as it has lots of vertical and is a long day at altitude. A total distance of 45 km of which close to 6 km are swimming in 8 different sections. The racers will do almost 1500 metres of positive elevation gain during the race. It is also seen as one of the more beautiful events.

As Switzerland just (June 26th) relaxed its entry regulations the race field is a bit different than in previous years. On the Saturday Sprint and Experience distances there is more racers than usual with many Swiss making their first appearance. This is fantastic. At the Sunday World Series event the amount of entered teams is down quite a bit as very few Scandinavian, British and US teams are travelling yet. This will open up opportunities to qualify to the World Championship on September 6th to new teams from France, Spain, Italy, Germany, the Benelux, Austria and Switzerland.

This race weekend is magnificent with the incredible mountain surroundings.

During the weekend you can follow the races on our LIVE page here and on Facebook LIVE where we will have some fantastic insights.
