The PowerBar Three Peaks Yacht Race
Running update
Norma Stockford / 21.06.2009
For the first time for many years, the Snowdon run has been completed in daylight. Early this morning the weather was fine but then deteriorated to a steady drizzle. The paths were busy with tourists despite the early hour and the rain. GFT Adventure put in a remarkable time of 3 hours 29 minutes and returned to the quay a bit bloodied and bruised but in good spirits. \"I think I just stopped concentrating\" said Chris Sellen as he and Allan Smalls dashed back to their boat to leave at 11 minutes past 11.
EADS Innovation and Topsham Toe in the Water runners both recorded a time of 3 hours 37 minutes with Hazard Chase back in a time of 3 hours 29.
Runners on the slower boats may have to make the ascent in the dark.
