We did it! According to the unofficial results and the medals in our hands, we landed first place in the CoEd Two-Person division and 8th overall. This really surprised us given the very tough competition and the sheer number of times we thought we had made a fatal error or unavoidable setback that would have either ended our race or put us over time.
We predicted this course would be VERY hard, cold and wet, so we went in with the mindset of “suck it up buttercup”, and boy did it pay off. As usual, Abby and Brent put on a fantastic experience full of comradery, beauty, challenges and a strong dose of sufferfest.
