This year the race is going to be tougher and more exciting than ever before. Spread over 220 sq km of mountain terrain involving various disciplines - trekking, mountain biking, paddling, river crossing and 0.22 air rifle shooting - to be covered in a duration of approximately 28 - 60 hours. Each team will consist of three members, one of whom should be of the opposite sex (except all female categories). This race starts from Pune and progresses into the scenic backwaters of Panshet, the majestic Sahyadri Mountains of the Western Ghats and the Pune Konkan Region. In this race the participating teams will be tested in various respects like endurance, physical fitness, team spirit, crisis management and decision making. The race encourages the participants to take part in ‘non-conventional’ sports in a competitive spirit. The race demands a high level of physical fitness.

The "NECC NEF Enduro3 the adventure race" is conducted in Pune across the spectacular theater of the National Defence Academy Campus , the Sahyadri Mountains and the Panshet Back Waters, it involves 200 sq. kms of mountainous terrain, 100 kms of dirt road cycling, 90 kms of trekking, rifle shooting with 0.22 rifles, river crossing at night …. And lots of adrenalin.

The NECC NEF Enduro3 offers a platform for amateur and professional athletes to test their endurance, fitness and compete for the prize money. Since the first edition of the race in 2003, the NECC NEF enduro3 has come a long way. Hundreds have come and tried to conquer and few have succeeded and the rest go back not disappointed but driven with an even more powerful desire to excel the next time. The idea behind the race is to promote adventure racing as a sport and spread ecological awareness, to foster the spirit of adventure and a love for nature in the minds of the people.
