One of 4 new Adventure Racing World Series (ARWS) demonstration races this year is the ‘Raid Del Viento’ in Argentina and from October 9th to 14th international athletes from around the world will head to Patagonia to compete.
The new ‘Raid of the Wind’ is a non-stop 300km expedition race where teams of 4 will race to complete a multi-disciplinary course including trekking, kayaking, mountain biking, snowshoeing, rope ascents and other special challenges which the teams will not know about until the race begins.
Navigation in the mountain and wilderness areas in which the race takes place is also going to be a vital part of the expedition race.
