Location: Åre, Sweden

Scandinavia’s biggest and first multisport race. 

Since 1997, Åre Extreme Challenge has challenged weekend warriors and elite athletes

- 25 km paddling

-17 km trail running (with 1,000 meter climb)

-30 km mountain biking.  

A classic “man vs. nature” event with dramatic waterfalls, deep green forests, and a picturesque mountain town. The race attracts 600 participants at the height of the Nordic summer (never gets dark). The elite finish in 5 hours, while most finish in 7 to 9 hrs. Everybody gets a free beer at the finish.  

Compete solo, duo, or team Relay.

New in 2019: ÅEC "Run N Bike" race – experience two-thirds of ÅEC!

Fly to Trondheim (+2 hr drive/train) or fly via Stockholm to Åre/Östersund airport (+1 hr drive/taxi).
