The biggest single-day adventure race in the world sees thousands of athletes visit the western Irish town of Killarney for a race that takes in the stunning peaks, spectacular mountain roads and crystal clear lakes of County Kerry in a few hours of intense multi-sport competition. With brutal climbs on bike and foot, mud and icy waters, the competition is always intense.

ITERA EXPEDITION RACE Channel 4 at 07.25 
In this extreme multi-sports adventure, 36 teams race non-stop from the north to the south of Wales via its most stunning mountains, rivers and bike tracks, with spectacular climbs, underground caves and even the world’s fastest zip-wire to overcome on the way. Part of the Adventure Racing World Series, competitors are tested to the limits of their mental and physical endurance on a course which takes in many historic towns and castles, the nation’s highest summits and other famous places en route to the finish line in Cardiff Bay.
