Wermland Adventure Race
New Adventure Stage Race in Sweden For Spring 2017
Press Release / 10.01.2017
In May 26-28 there will be a new adventure race held in the woods and archipelago of Wermland. There have been numerous adventure races in Sweden before but this is a game changer. Since there will be a GPS-route available for the racers and the complete race follows a mandatory route - no navigation skills will be needed.
“We’ve been to China a couple of times and very much appreciate the tough racing with a demanding course and head to head racing with no navigation” says Olof Solberg, one of the race organizers.
The race is hosted by Karlstad Multisport, a well-known organisation with a history of bringing a lot of successful race events to the Swedish adventure racing scene.
Teams will consist of two persons in categories male, female or mixed. The stages will be approximately 5-9 hours a day and cover disciplines trailrunning, mountainbiking and some canoeing.
