PC12 Adventure Race is Cancelled For 2020

Within the framework of national regulations, the declaration of emergency by the Government of Antioquia and attending to specific prevention and containment measures for the city of Medellín, Colombia and most countries in the world, the organization PC12 Adventure Race, has made the decision to postpone the sport event "La Ruta del Arriero" scheduled from April 27th to May 3rd of this year. For us, the safety and tranquility of our athletes is very important, as well as providing reliable conditions to guarantee the enjoyment of our regions and our event.

PC12 is an international race, from the Adventure Racing World Series, with a social and tourist orientation, promoting not only adventure racing, but the possibility of enjoying Colombia as a destination for nationals and foreigners. This is why after consulting with regional entities, with Craig Bycroft, director of ARWS, and following the order announced today March 14, by the President of the Republic of Colombia to prohibit the entry of foreigners from Europe and China until further orders, and the announcement issued on March 12 by the Colombian Ministry of Sports canceling any high-performance and recreational sporting event involving international mobility, we are forced to postpone our PC12 Adventure Race “La Ruta del Arriero” for next year 2021.

This is not an easy decision for us to make, but after the analysis of the different alternatives, with the uncertainty of dates with the COVID-19 and the having in mind the ARWS 2020 calendar, we consider that the best thing to do is to postpone PC12 adventure Race “La Ruta del Arriero” for next year. The exact dates will be announced in few days, in accordance to the ARWS 2021´s calendar.

As adventure racers we know what this means but we also know that you understand that we must be socially responsible. We will continue to work non-stop, to make PC12 Adventure Race 2021 an even better experience. We are proud to have your support as participant teams, sponsors and authorities with whom we have been working intensively in the organization of this event and we recognize that without your support this PC12, the race of your dreams would not be a reality.
