The New Date For The TOUR Transalp is Announced For June 2021.

The 18th edition of Europe's popular road cycling stage race for amateurs cannot take place as planned from 21 to 27 June 2020 due to the Corona pandemic. The event, that this year was to be running exclusively through Italy, will be cancelled. A new date for next year has already been fixed.
"The next TOUR Transalp will run from 20 to 26 June 2021 in seven stages from Bruneck to Arco - the route and so the stage locations will remain as planned Bielefeld, 7 May 2020. Sweating, fighting, cheering together over seven stages and doing nothing but cycling - for 18 years now, up to 1000 cycling enthusiasts have been living a great dream every summer: crossing the Alps on a road bike."
"The fact that the TOUR Transalp has to be cancelled for the first time since its inception is bitter news for all cycling fans and the initiators."
"Together with our Italian partners, we hoped until the very last, to still run the TOUR Transalp this year. But unfortunately the current situation, also with regard to worldwide travel restrictions and the restrictions by the Italian authorities, makes it impossible to hold such a large and international event. That is why we have to cancel the TOUR Transalp 2020 and will concentrate with full power on the 2021er event", says Monika Weber, event manager of the organising publisher Delius Klasing.
The good news: There is already a new date for the legendary stage race. The next TOUR Transalp will take place from 20 to 26 June 2021. The organisers will stick to the planned route and, together with the stage locations, are already looking forward to experience a spectacular TOUR Transalp with many cycling fans from all over the world in the next year.
All those who have already booked a TOUR Transalp ticket for 2020 can easily take it into the next year. The guaranteed starting place will remain valid until 31 January 2021 and therefore the option of a free cancellation.
