Huairasinchi is Ready to go Again for 2021

33 registered teams are ready for the new challenge that will cover a route with trails and unique landscapes of Ecuador.
The objective of HUAIRASINCHI in all these years, has not only been to test high level athletes, but also to offer them a magical experience exploring our country with its mountains, rivers, beaches, lagoons, jungles and visiting towns full of culture, tradition and warm and friendly people. This challenge has a variety of ecosystems and trails that will impact its competitors.
The HUAIRASINCHI - IMPTEK 2021 has 2 categories: Expedition with a distance of 310 kilometers to be completed in 55 to 96 hours, and the Adventure category of 140 kilometers with a time between 23 to 36 hours.
In both categories, participants will have to combine several disciplines, such as: trekking, mountain biking, kayaking and fixed ropes. The organization, PROYECTO AVENTURA, plans to reveal the starting point and the route one day before the start of the race; however, it is known that the official venue will be in the Patate canton, Tungurahua province.
Being a qualifying competition for the Adventure World Cup in Spain, our country will host 2 international teams and some athletes of other nationalities that will be part of Ecuadorian teams; in total there are 5 countries that will compete for the victory in the HUAIRASINCHI this year. So far, we already have a national delegation that will represent us in Spain this coming October, the Terra Aventura team, that currently occupies the #3rd position in the World Ranking. Also, the Life Adventure Team IMPTEK group has positioned itself within the Top 10 of the best in the world, occupying the #8th position.
PROYECTO AVENTURA, together with its main sponsor IMPTEK, will carry out the Official Registration of the 33 registered Teams this coming Saturday, August 14, during which the Official Press Conference of HUAIRASINCHI - IMPTEK 2021 will be held in person and virtually from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, at the HUAIRASINCHI - IMPTEK 2021 headquarters, at the IMPTEK HOUSE located between Scala and La Tejedora, in Cumbayá, where it is expected to proceed in an orderly and smooth manner, following the biosecurity rules and regulations of the National Emergency Operations Committee (COE). The press conference will be in person and virtual on Saturday so that the organizers and participants can inform more details of the challenge to the media.
The Official Award Ceremony will be held on September 1st, 2021 in the city of Quito, and the media will be informed in due time.
