Huairasinchi Imptec Expedition Race Starts Today

The 18th. Ecuador's most iconic Adventure Race edition will start this Sunday, August 22 at 7 h00. There are 33 confirmed teams that are ready to live the new experience of the HUAIRASINCHI-IMPTEK, and to play their qualification for the World Cup October Adventure to be held in Galicia, Spain.
The organization, ADVENTURE PROJECT, has revealed that the official headquarters will be Patate, a magical and picturesque town that is located 3,5 hours from the city of Quito. Their route will cross around cantons with little known trails and aggressive grounds. With a maximum height of 4300 msnm it is expected to cross sections of open moor with majestic landscapes thanks to its imposing mountains, such as: Tungurahua, Chimborazo, Carihuairazo, Altar and Cotopaxi.
Sportsmen will have the opportunity to explore our country through their parachutes and visit places full of culture, tradition, and warm people. This year's challenge features a variety of ecosystems and paths that will definitely leave strong footprints on their competitors.
The HUAIRASINCHI - IMPTEK 2021 has 2 categories: Expedition with a distance of 310 kilometers to be completed from 55 to 96 hours, and the Adventure category of 140 kms with a time between 23 at 36 hours. In both, participants will have to combine various disciplines, including: trekking, mountain bike, fixed strings and this year a 10-mile kayaking route.
