Wenger CZAR - Day 3. Next Time Order Dessert, Not Sausage.

Most of the last day teams spent riding the second bike stage (125km). After that, they just had just 2km of short orienteering with the last CP on the other river bank.
At 8:23 the team Slo Cro AR Teamcrossed the finish line, having spent the whole race in first position. One hour behind them came team HSK Benecko/Sport nás baví who slept only 25 min during the whole race. Within 4 hours the next two teams completed the race in a thrilling battle with SpirAlps just ahead of Kompar Xtream. The break point was when Kompar decided to choose a more risky route to the last MTB CP. It failed.
After the next three hours came the finishing champagne for Coś nom pizło na łeb from Poland. The other two teams were divided by only ten minutes and speed in the last transition area and final o-run were crucial. Team RC Europe.cz/ EPO Běhal v dešti managed an extra fast finish to overtake EXIT Team and clinch sixth place.
It seems that about their places were decided by the waiting time for refreshment at the end of the race. Běhal v dešti made a short stop in a sweet shop for some desserts, while EXIT Team had a long wait for soup and sausage, which caused them significant delay!
Another three teams were unable to complete the full route. The fourth team member rejoined his incomplete FREEMIND team at finish line. Their Finnish racer, Pekka, must have fast recovery times, because he will stand on start line of the World Championships in Spain in a few weeks.
Team Franta a jeho parta had to give up because of injury of their lady. At least they made their own race and split for the o-run. The knees of the map guy from Havr Black said NO to continue the race. They enjoyed just the short disciplines in the race centre. Despite these small things Wenger CZAR 21 avoided serious injuries and competitors praised the route, which took them to interesting places in the South Bohemia Region.
Four p.m. was the limit of the MINI Adventure Race. The whole race with all the CPs was completed only by the winners of MEN's category – EPO Rychlá rota team. The second placed Čelovky Lucifer who underestimated themselves, skipped two CPs and finished the race 90 minutes before the time limit. The mixed category was won b y team Medvěd s Lenochodem – LAMA and the women's category was dominated by team poloEPO Simulantenbande.
After the prize giving ceremony and dinner there followed the traditional beer rely. There's no report on that, you have to experience it. :-)
