Team Czech Win the Czech Adventure Race

The second day at the Czech Adventure Race more significant gaps opened between the teams. In the morning the Swiss-Italian-Czech team Alpha Adventure decided that Marco was not fit enough to finish the race and continued as a team of three, finishing in 5th position.
This day was quite varied. Teams were biking/trekking/paddling between TA3 and TA2 and had to pass two quite challenging via ferrata. Some teams decided to take a nap – or a proper 3 hour long sleep. The fastest teams did not sleep at all for the whole race.
At 10 p.m. the MINI Adventure Race began with 20 pairs racing for 18 hours. Good luck to all the teams!
Only 36 minutes after midnight team Czech crossed the finish line after flipping over on the last canoe stage. One hour after them came the 2nd placed team SK OpavaNet/SK SP Kylešovice and after another hour Slovenian team Pustolovec Rajd completed the podium.
Some other teams met small or big troubles: Team Dutch Direction was struggling with a broken bike but made it to TA1 and continued with the last trek. Petr from team Klacky Spir Alps fell off of his bike and had to be treated but he’s OK. In the middle of the night we heard an emergency siren. It turned out an allergic member of the Kompar team was stung by two hornets. His team mates called an ambulance and explained they were on a path in the middle of a forest – and then two fire engines and two ambulances arrived!
We all hope that at least for the last day we can continue without any rescue or police vehicles!.
