13th Hero MTB Himalaya
Riding Heaven's Ridge
Press Release / 05.10.2017
It will not be wrong to say that this day put on the best landscapes of the race. Starting from Kamand, the riders trailed a competitive distance of 56.2 kms through the magical Dhauladhars and the lush-green mountains of Kullu District, leaving them enchanted by nature’s outright charm. To call the surroundings beautiful is probably an understatement.
Like yesterday, the Spanish racers Adria Noguera and Antonio Ortiz Barranco lead this stage.
The three-time winner in the Open Women Solo Category, Catherine Williamson finishes the race first today as well! After 5 stages, Lucy Coldwell from UK has entered the top 3 list. Ilda Pereira and Karen Hill race neck-to-neck till the finish line and end up with a tie for the third position.
David Kumar from HASTPA outdoors has been performing well and finished 9th today. To our joy every rider participating in this stage completed the race.
Today was a relatively shorter day with one long gravel climb. The beautiful campsite in Jatingiri and the fresh trout in dinner served as a perfect end to the comparatively smooth day for the riders.
