Day 3 at the Dragon's Back Race

The race begins to get competitive on day 3 and the heatwave conditions continue.
On day three 44 runners were timed out or retired from the full race and there are now only 103 competitive runners in the event, just over a third of the number that started in Conwy Castle on Monday. However, there are another 155 still with the event and tackling the shorter Hatchling course.
Hugh Chatfield extended his overall lead, with Jakub Wolski in second. Leading woman Robyn Cassidy moved up to third overall, though Victoria Thompson was fastest woman on the day and is fifth overall.
