"In the heart of the Southern Alps, 3000 hectares of turquoise water as far as the eye can see...
The Lac de Serre-Ponçon is located at an altitude of 780m, it reflects in its waters the countless peaks perched at more than 2000m. Faced with this vast expanse of turquoise blue water, which makes it the second largest artificial lake in Europe, time seems to have stood still. Everything is in place to a life-size swimrun.
"A postcard setting, the perfect playground for the swimrun"
A unique race, in an exceptional setting, which will leave each of you with a memorable memory. On June 28, 2020 you will be several hundred swimrunners taking on the SWIMRUN EMBRUN challenge proposed by the organization.
The three routes, traced in the heart of the Hautes-Alpes, will cross the municipalities of Embrun, Puy-Sanières, Crots and Savines-le-Lac over a total distance of 11km (SPRINT), 23.6km (CLASSIC) and 40.4km (HALF). The steep paths of the Embrunais will allow you to gain height on the Lac de Serre-Ponçon and the Durance to better appreciate the moment.
