XVI Red Fox Adventure Race
The last transition
/ © PyroThe 24hr Red Fox race category has finished, and the prize giving NOW concluded, while both the 48hr teams and the AREC teams are still out racing. ACO 8 took top honours in the all-male pairs, Mipt-O-Team the mixed pairs, and Mышы the fours.
Out on the AREC course, the fight at the front is still ongoing. MDK finished the kayak stage at 13:30, with their second boat still slightly damaged and holding several inches of water as they hauled it up the beach and the short distance to the TA. They spent 20mins in transition, getting away only two minutes before Seiklushunt arrived at the beach. The Estonian team have pulled back some time during the paddle, and got away from transition in half the time. Team Sweden arrived at 14:10, and spent 35mins, getting their first sleep of the race (10mins), a coffee and some food before heading out again. With nearly an hour deficit to the leaders, their chance hold onto their European Champions title looks slim.
